Dodgers @ Giants May 20, 2015: How about a win in ‘Frisco?

The Dodgers are winless in San Francisco this season (0-4). They’re just 2-5 against the Giants this season. It’d be just swell if that were to change.

Brett Anderson toes the rubber as he looks to continue his string of solid outings. He has a 1.10 ERA in his last three starts (just 16 1/3 innings, thanks to one rain-shortened outing against the Rockies) and a 13/2 strikeout-to-walk ratio. His first outing against the Giants was poor, and some of it was due to him getting BABIP’d. Here’s hoping that doesn’t happen tonight.

The offense has been shut down in recent days. They’ve scored just two runs in the last 29 innings. That won’t play. Tim Lincecum has pitched relatively well (by his recent standards) this season, but I have a good feeling about the Dodger offense figuring him out tonight.

With Madison Bumgarner going tomorrow afternoon and Yasmani Grandal catching tonight, I’d say it’s all be certain A.J. Ellis will draw the start behind the plate. I’d really rather not see Joc Pederson and Adrian Gonzalez sit, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one (or both) do. One thing’s for sure: Alex Guerrero and Scott Van Slyke will be in the lineup.

In some non-game news, the Dodgers officially confirmed Hyun-Jin Ryu will undergo shoulder surgery. While they haven’t ruled him out for the season, it’d be a massive shock if he pitched at all in 2015. What number do do you think Johnny Cueto is gonna wear? My money is on 27.
