With all the (justifiable) noise about the lineup not performing feeding into disappointment about the September call-ups, it’s been easy to forget that the Dodgers are indeed 8-4 in their last 12 games. Maybe as frustrating of an 8-4 as possible, but still winning games thanks to their stellar starting pitching.
Well, today’s matchup of Eric Lauer and Michael McGreevy pitted a pair of relatively charmed starters against each other, and like with many things during this stretch, it was the Dodgers’ guy who came up short.
I dunno.
There was a silver lining in not really having to watch the game at least.
Absolute vibe killer, but what’s new.
